Pre-Order Pricing & Cancellation Policy

Please note that the cost Mankey Business pays for Japanese pre-order items may fluctuate as the release date approaches. While all products listed have already been paid for prior to being offered for sale, additional pre-order inventory may be listed at a higher or lower price depending on current supplier pricing.

Because of this, pre-order purchases are generally not eligible for cancellation. In most cases, cancellations can only be accommodated in the form of store credit.

Transparency Note
Mankey Business prices products with low margins to stay fair to collectors. This item is priced at a 15% gross margin, with 3% returned to customers through Primeape Points and 3% paid to affiliates who help keep the shop growing.

After costs and givebacks, Mankey Business nets roughly a 9% margin—just enough to operate sustainably while keeping prices competitive.

1. Why would a booster box arrive without shrink wrap?

In Japan, it’s customary for Pokémon Center staff to remove the shrink wrap from booster boxes before putting them on shelves or fulfilling online orders. These boxes are 100% authentic and contain the same factory-sealed booster packs inside—just without the outer plastic wrap.

2. Should I avoid no-shrink boxes?

Only if you don’t trust the source.
Even though Japanese booster boxes include built-in tamper-evident features (like tear strips and perforated lids), they can still be resealed by bad actors. That’s why it’s important to buy from trusted sellers. At Mankey Business, we guarantee that all no-shrink boxes are sourced directly from verified suppliers in Japan—we’ll never send you something we wouldn’t open ourselves.

3. How does Mankey Business verify authenticity?

Every booster box, shrink-wrapped or not, goes through a multi-step authenticity check—first in Japan, then again at our U.S. location. We examine:

• The integrity of the box’s tear-strip and lid

• The feel and weight of the sealed contents

• Any signs of bending, tampering, or resealing

4. Why would I buy a booster box without shrink wrap?

If you’re planning to open the box and rip packs—not stash it in a sealed collection—buying a booster box without shrink wrap is a great way to save a few bucks while still getting the exact same authentic product!
